Greenspot

While I taking a walk, I passed by Greenspot and recognized it, so I decided to try out this Montreal institution!

I got the classic poutine, but with a twist! It had the fries replaced with onion rings. While it wasn’t bad, it definitely would’ve been better with the fries. My recommendation? Stick with the fries for your poutines, guys. Sauce was like a poutine brown sauce should be: salty, and rich in flavour. The cheese curds? Properly squeaky!

The real star of the lunch I had though, was definitely the Nathan’s grilled hotdog, with mustard, grilled onions, and what I think is basically coleslaw on top.

Service was good, fairly quick for the packed-ness of the restaurant. Price was good too, for how filling it was. Can’t go wrong with Greenspot!

Their website seems to only be a Facebook page, but I’ll link it anyway: https://facebook.com/GreenSpot1947/
